Each Radiology Red Dot one-day course is based on the registrants evaluating cases on their own computer by accessing the radiographs online. The emphasis is on this analysis followed by explanatory tutorials. Powerpoint lectures are very brief or eliminated entirely. Questions, between the participants and the teachers, are encouraged - sometimes utilising breakout rooms.
Sessions are held online live by interactive video. All courses have been awarded CPD credits by the Royal College of Radiologists.
Radiology Red Dot Trauma Course
27 June 2026
This one day course is designed so as to follow the basic principle that underpins the prize winning book: Accident & Emergency Radiology: A Survival Guide . . . viz: ”these images look normal to me, but – how can I be absolutely sure that I am not missing a subtle but clinically important abnormality?”
Radiology Red Dot CXR Course
28 June 2026
Radiographers are frequently very good at recognising abnormalities on CXRs despite having limited or no formal training in assessing these images. This intensive one day course will take you through the essentials of CXR interpretation leaving you more confident to "red dot" abnormalities which might otherwise be overlooked.
The teaching format involves short lectures, cases analysis at your own computer and interactive tutorials.
